Description: The GlycoEnzDB is a manually curated glycoEnzyme database, primarily focused on humans. It covers 390 enzymes across 28 pathway maps. Facilities are also available to create custom glycosylation reaction pathways using experimental data in SBML format and for pathway simulation

• POMT1/POMT2 enzymes initiate O-Man biosynthesis at unfolded regions (mucin-like domain) of alpha-dystroglycan. Protein context appears to be important for directing coreM1-3 biosynthesis.
• These are unusual ER localized enzymes with 7 & 9 transmembrane helices.
• Defects in O-mannosyl glycans on α-DG are reported to cause several a-dystroglycanopathies.
