Description: The GlycoEnzDB is a manually curated glycoEnzyme database, primarily focused on humans. It covers 390 enzymes across 28 pathway maps. Facilities are also available to create custom glycosylation reaction pathways using experimental data in SBML format and for pathway simulation

About

• Hyaluronanidases cleave glycosidic β1-4 linkages between glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine residues in the hyaluronan polymer.
• HYAL1 is primarily thought to be important for degradation in endosomal/lysosomal compartment.
• Evidence is mixed as to the role hyaluronanidases play in the context of promoting cancer. HYAL protein expression has been correlated to cancer survival and disease progression for various cancer types, such as bladder and pancreatic.
